The issue is that romance is written so badly, that you can ignore Gale, never flirt with him and then get the magic lesson bs... even if you said no.
Which is why Gale is the main issue, with Shadowheart been a close second with how fast she opens up.
Did you...read what I said at all...or...? I never even specified my issue was with men? Lae'zel suffers from this issue, for example.
Not true at all. I never talked to Lae'zel a single time, not even once, EXCEPT for bringing her along during her companion quest. Didn't pick any flirty options. She confessed her love to me right after said quest.
There's no victims here, just some doofus flirting and then acting surprised when characters act accordingly.
A bigger issue id that despite been told no, Gale will still try to bang you...which is why people fall for the magic lesson scene...♥♥♥♥ writing. I expected Asterion to be the thirsty one that takes rejection badly...
Same crap in the Pathfinder RPGS. Save a couple from a slaver camp? Within that very in-game minute you can go through a dialogue tree that has them offering to have you enter their degenerate cuckolding relationship. Nevermind that you have under half HP and are bleeding out on the dirt, the coomer writer has to tend to their magical realm after all. That's more important in video games these days than proper personality to dialogue translation I suppose.
Gale also stuck his penis in his cat...so I rather not.
