It's awful that their personal stories explicitly reference their metagame mechanical class. Somehow, I dunno how or when exactly, characters in the world began referring to people as though "class" were a fundamental and obvious aspect of their personhood. It's such an incredibly amateurish failure of writing and profoundly misunderstands the purpose of roleplaying game mechanics.
And it doesn't help that virtually all of the characters start out as dumped-strength, zero armor, low hp pure casters in a game where all encounters outnumber you to such an extreme.
And here I am remembering the days when you got to have six people in a party...
I worry that changing their class might interfer with their story lines though.
Also trickster is absolutely ace :D I get it's not for every one esp. if you just like to run into combat and start hitting but her stealth boosters and illusion are pretty good for setting up the field in your favor and positioning your players
Good job , honestly. You tailored your experience to your liking.
I respec'd Shadowheart to Light Cleric to focus on healing . Astarian to Assassin because trickster is kind of meh and multiclased Gale to Wiz/Warlock. Worked pretty well in Act1 on Tactician so far though after i get to more companions i will probably redo my setup entirely.
Doesn't change the story at all. Run wild and do what you want with respecing the party.
In my team I use gale wyll and karlach, and I have a light cleric as main. Wyll hits like a truck and just spams blindness which just renders most fights easy.
Gale is a wizard so he's a control master. Enlarge on karlach is just stupid. grease and fireball are my standard combo.
