You can delete old saves from in-game or from windows or you can overwrite saves you already have to save space.
You can set a limit in options for how many quick saves and auto-saves the game will make before it starts overwriting the oldest ones if space is a concern, but the saves aren't crazy big.
Still, 1 GB isn't all that much in the grand scheme of hard drive space. Which was what I meant when I said it wasn't 'crazy big'. I mean, anyone who is concerned over the 1 more GB of space used has bigger fish to fry in terms of clearing some space.
i would also tone down the auto saves and quick saves , the default of 25 is prob too much , i set mine to 10
you can also delete saves in game, they reside on the windows drive
also if u really wanted to you could create symbolic links and change location to another drive
It has to do with how Steam runs it's cloud saves and how the default save system works which is defaults to certain size.
That's all.
