Disable CloudSave and back up your saves

I and many other people are losing progress or whole saves due to cloud save errors. I just lost hours of progress; my friend lost his 52 hours save. Many other people are having errors and corrupt saves as well. Larian support told me that for now, it's best to disable cloud save and make a backup from your save game folder just in case.

Steamcloud saves. I have no clue about cross save cloud but i recommend just making a backup in anycase something happens.

Yea it takes like 5 minutes to upload its over 1gb for my 25 quicksaves

I can only tell you that steamsaves are getting corrupted. Everything else is fine from what i know. You don't have to back up i'm just trying to share what the support told me :)

No one can lose save games because of cloud saves. Only if they mishandle it. There are at least two confirmation pop ups before cloud saves would override local savegames.

yes i thoght so too, i did not misshandle it. I also followed the guide and my saves are gone. I talked to larian and its legit problem and its not only happening to me.
