This game is short. A bit shocked...
I won't get into too many spoilers, but I was certainly shocked that the next area you enter into (post-early access areas) thrusts you straight into Act 2. But realizing this one area is all there is to Act 2 is what really shocked me. My group of friends are approaching only 40 hours and have cleared many of the side quests. Yet we reached our next point of no return for Act 2 last night sort of abruptly.

This caused me to check to see if this was indeed the resolution to act 2. And as it turns out, it most certainly is. Meaning act 2 was half the length (at best) of act 1 and only encompasses one single area. I also heard act 3 is not much longer.

(Potential spoilers incoming) This length alone is not alarming neccesarily. But moving into act 3 not a single plot point has been resolved for us. No progress on the tadpole. No progress on our knowledge of the three shadow figures shown to us early on. No progress on our understanding of our deeper role in this whole thing. No further, or direct, contact with our guardian in any meaningful way. Haven't seen the city of Baldurs Gate. Haven't learned more about the mindflayers goals. Haven't interacted with the Gith much beyond our broken bridge dragon encounter. I feel so much is unresolved and yet we are a mere click away from wrapping up Act 2 with a presumably shorter Act 3 to follow from what I've been told.

Anyone else experience the same thing? We've got maybe 3 side quests to go finish up before entering act 2's point of no return, but that's 3-5 hours tops. Just shocked how short/shallow it feels in its core story exposition.
