Why is mage hand recharge on short rest?
From my experience in D&D you usually spam this to interact with objects and do various things but in this game it seems limited to short rest, is there a specific reason in this game?

Edit:
I figured out why actually, they let you throw weapons as basically a full on attack. As such you can just drop thrown weapons and throw them every turn for 10 turns get essentially a bunch of free attacks.

Weird, right? It's supposed to be a cantrip that can be used at will but this game treats it as a spell.

It's because people were spamming it to tank damage in combat.

Isn't that what minor illusion is for? In rules as written it requires an investigation action to determine if its real or not thus would burn turns or they could just attack it and then realize it wasn't real that way. It sounds like they tried to change things and ended up creating more problems.

I think it's a shame they nerfed MAGE HAND.

What does it matter HOW you win as long as you win?
Problem solving has always been a strong feature of D&D. Why punish anyone who thnks out of the box and leverages all the tools given.

IS IT CHEESE?
1) "Did you die?" NO.
2) "Did you win" YES.
3) "Did you take any damage?" NO.
4) "Did you score good loot and can now move on?" YES.
So what's the problem?

It's not that you can't keep using MAGE HAND over and over. You just now have to waste time by going back to camp each time to do a partial rest. : sigh : And now there's a lot of extra clicking to get in and out of camp. OI!

Overkill: Tried enclosing the leader GITH and others and just add way more explosive fuel to the fire with extra barrels and crates.

This is most definitely a bug. Cantrips are infinite use. This also applies to Lea'zel's Mage Hand Psionics.

Then just don't let people throw weapons with mage hand? In 5e, you explicitly couldn't use the mage hand to make attacks, so why allow it here at the expense of the intended function?

Then just don't let people throw weapons with mage hand? In 5e, you explicitly couldn't use the mage hand to make attacks, so why allow it here at the expense of the intended function?
I mean I never use mage hand in its current form but I'm just explaining that because of the ability to shove and do random things like throw potions, boxes, weapons, etc, it obviously needed to balanced differently.

Yeah, here I was thinking I'd make an arcane trickster using the mage hand as a regular cantrip and do all kinds of cool non-combat ♥♥♥♥. Nah, you can't do half the ♥♥♥♥ you'd want and makes the subclass really subpar compared to just plain thief.

Yea I completely agree with that aspect. I wish it functioned as basic move stuff around open doors, move levers, etc. It still would be useful in those aspects. Being able to pickpocket at range would also be helpful too. So its a bit weird.
