Owlbear missing

Hey, so I cleaned the goblin camp and then Went to the owlbear cave, I left the mom alive and keep going, now I'm at Act 2 and the cub still didn't appear, do I really have to start over?

What do you need the cub for? Also a cub is held for sports in the goblin camp itself. Maybe it's the very same cub, since I've always been to the cave first and I believe the two adventurers I've met that were hunting the mother also make an appearance in the goblin camp.

I always do the owlbear cave straight after I reach the druid grove, I kill the mother and leave the cub alive. You then see the cub at the goblin camp, after killing all the goblins you can speak with the cub to tell it to find your camp, after a few rests and interactions the cub will stay in your camp.

I'm not sure about any other interactions or ways of getting the owlbear cub to move to your camp but the method above has worked for me with 5 different playthroughs.

If you don't kill the Owlbear, the goblins will, and the cub will again be at their camp. Having said that, while it said it will find my camp, it still hasn't appeared. Does it perhaps appear during a long rest event?

Yes, not sure if it's a random amount of long rests or not. The first interaction it'll approach you and you can give it some food, it'll then run away. The next interaction it'll approach you with a wound, after healing the wound it'll remain at your camp

owl bear didnt appear for me until I was on the road to baldurs gate, the forced rest made him appear.

I had bugs all over act 2 and 3 with camp followers, some I can't mention for spoiler reasons. Some would die and some would disappear with quests updating saying I killed them...

I wentured in the owlbear cave, spared the mother and then left. The cub was in the gobling camp, but remained there after the BIG cleanup. Then I said to him che can stay in my camp.

I had to sleep 4 times before the cub appeared, but just enjoy the game instead of expecting something to happen immediately (:

I didnt seen a cub till i was in underdark, thought i fugged something up till that moment, was actually searching for him in goblin camp lol.

Then cutscenes pilled in and now he plays with the dog all the time i visit camp.

Tho u completely ruined this questline because only way to get owlcub is by winning it thru the game in goblin camp, which require u to do the cave sequence first and then go to camp.

I don't think it's random, but I think events have different priorities. If you don't rest enough times, you may miss events such as this. I'm currently at 3 rests, and all of them were main quest related.

You dont have to "win", you can simply stand still and loose the mini game then go and demand that she gives you the owlbear after

It's cute, and I want all the "Pets" you can have in game, I interacted with the mom but not the cub, not really expecting her to show up now since I'm quite far but maybe there's hope

I actually am going to the cave again right now, went to see if they where there but the mom was dead, went to the goblin camp and nothing

I'm also having problems with this. I interacted with him in the goblin camp but didn't kill all the goblins, i went after the leaders first. After returning to the camp and killing all of the goblins there, i wasn't able to find him.

You need to do that "chicken run" game first and then continue talking to him until you can invite him to your camp.

After that you need to decide how you handle the goblin camp before he is brave enough to leave.

Then do a couple long rests and he shouild show up eventually.

i actually got my owlbear cub tamed and in camp, he even bonded with my dog, he was with me for quite a while then i did the quest where the tieflings come to your camp wont say more for spoilers, and hes been gone ever since.
