Shadowheart is a puzzle but I think she is good under all of the layers.
I consider Wyll good too.
That's about it in the good department.
Gale is narcicisstic and acts selfishly despite his morale compass.
Later on there is a Druid a Fighter/Druid and a Ranger that are all good guys.
Astarion is generally more evil and/or chaotic leaning. Lae'zel is from an oppressive military society, so she leans towards lawful/evil. You can still be good and have high acceptance from those two, tho.
Shadowheart and Gale I'd say are good too, but they lean a bit more into neutral.
LaeZel I'd consider neutral/evil (if you call not caring about others to fulfill your goals evil).
Astarion is the one that I'd consider evil so far.
Though this is mostly based on act 1, so I can't guarantee that things will not change, however that also means that it should probably be the spoiler-free perspective from the beginning.
Looks like there's more than enough companions for a good party, doesn't look like there's enough for a truly evil one though.
And how can I make for example Lae'Zel approve me? She just wanted to make bow a "subordinate" race NPC and I put her in his place.
Essentially, in my opinion:
Wyll: Lawful Good
Gale: Neutral Good
Karlach: Chaotic Good
Lae'zel: Lawful Evil
Shadowheart: Neutral Evil
Asterion: Chaotic Evil
lol didnt read the whole thing. I think Gale is ultimately good, through his personality. He just wanted to be more powerful and ended up ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ himself. Shadowheart seems good, though she serves the goddess of shadow so could end up leaning towards bad. Laz'zel doesnt seem bad, just looks down on things that arent Githyanki or warriors. Karlach is trying to escape devils and just wants to fight I believe so not all that evil either. Those are the only ones ive really delved into at all so theyre the only ones I can comment on
This is not true, certain Companions are to much of a good soul, that they will outright leave if you do Evil, they wont have it.
If you side with Goblins, Karlach and Wyll will leave, while Halsim will force you to kill him. Gale is going to whine about this as well, but in his case, you have a chance with a persuasion roll to convince him to stay. Killing the Nightsong, kills Companions too.
