just starting - went the Mountain pass, but looks like I end up going thru the Shadows anyway
Head towards top left corner of the map - and enjoy the journey (it's IMHO a nice portion of the game)
smith, quartermaster, potion drow, bugbear, smuggler, mask wearing thing, nurse, and im sure i am forgetting a few. technically any number of them are unavailable based on your choices in act1 or speech checks. bugbear is imo the best merchant in the game for selling, there is a way to get 100% liked by him from a speech check so that he will buy and sell for insane prices. i think it was like 40 or 50 gold for buying greater healing potions for reference. Every other vendor that takes a lot of money/free stuff to get them to like you that much.
Specific locations and a tip at the end, spoilers obviously.
Last Light Inn has Quartermaster and Smith if you didnt kill the Tieflings in Act1
Moonrise Tower has the Bugbear, the smugglers, and a drow that is obsessed with blood all on the first floor.
In the 'healing house' there is a zombie nurse that you can convince to sell you things, she has rare poisons and rare ingredients
If you can convince the demon that you want to help him you can use his merchant down in the trails area in the mausoleum
Literally dont sell anything until you get to the tower, do the speech check on the bugbear and you will quad your selling gains. Merchants restock and re-money after 1 long rest.
Exactly. I find it amusing when someone says that they can't pick anything up anymore while I've been teleporting junk items to my chest of infinite space back at camp to teleport to someone else later when they are at a vendor.
Kinda silly since my character is a rogue and could just steal money but I guess hoarding items to sell is something I'm used to lol.
