Changing Shadowhearts class

I,m a paladin and I have Gale and Lae'zal. would it be a good idea to change Shadowheart to a ranger or scout?

Im not trying to optimise, just used to having a ranger in previous DOS 1 and 2.

You can of course do what you want, but i wouldn't recommend to reskill her like that, it doesn't fit her background story, she is a devotee of shar, blessed by the deity with divine magic, so only cleric or paladin fits her, but you can reskill her to storm cleric for example, because she is a very good dd caster, with heal.

In my opinion, a thief or bard in a group is more important, otherwise you leave so much loot behind in locked chests, which hurts :)
