[MASSIVE SPOILERS] About Karlach romance + ending

So I just finished the game and I loved everything it offered there is only one thing thats making me fume so again big spoilers ahead about Karlach and the ending with her

this is just for how others that romanced her feel right now I'm not bashing the whole game.

I was basicly waiting for Karlach to be a companion since Early Acces and now that we have it on my first playthrough I obviously picked her because I like her attitude so after learning about her condition with her heart from the first moment the copium and motivation started to finding a cure I was literally exploring everything I can to find a way to help her and during the conversations with her I kept promising her to find a cure or worse case tell her that we will go to Avernus together.. but the options are these:

1- She becomes a mindflayer and is cured.
2- She goes back with your to Avernus or Wyll.
3- Boom.

Like really? she had barely any content throughout the game compared to Gale or Shadowheart and the character didn't have any big ambitions other than go back to her normal life and she is the one who gets a doomed ending.... for a world with lots of possibilities and all we can do and yet they didn't give us an option to cure her.

1- We had Mizora or Raphael to deal with and never got an opportunity to make a deal with them about it. NOPE don't matter.
2- Killed Raphael hoping that Hope will be able to help us with Karlach after freeing her. NOPE don't matter either.
3- Saving the Gondians after hearing a Steel Watcher make a remark about Karlach heart being out of date thinking they are capable of doing something. Doesn't matter too.
4- Finding new infernal type of metals and bringing to Dammon. Nope doesn't do anything.
5- Breaking into a Mage tower filled with books about strong magic. Nah nothing there
And the biggest cope 6- Breaking into the bank and opening every safe. you know the answer.

The worse part about the ending I got is that instead of going with my character to Avernus she went with Wyll instead of both of us or the three of us I suppose since he became the Blade of Avernus so my Tav is literally sitting on that pantoon alone rn lmao I dunno if its a bug.

Anyways now I wanna know what you guys felt about all of this I just feel scammed sad and angry 70 hours of copium is alot and not getting anything out of it just feels wrong to be honest all the other companions have some good closure even if their stakes were higher than Karlachs but got away with it.. sure we can't have good endings all the time but we had so many possibilities like the ones I mentioned above and we didn't get much content with her compared to the other's her developement was short so dooming her like that is unfair and just lazy from you Larian..

We literally get items in the entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game that ALLUDE towards being able to help her, but larian didnt flesh any of that out because they rushed her storyline and never bothered to finish it. Like BG3 is an amazing game but people need to stop pretending like its perfect, they literally released one of their main characters in a "Broken/unfinished" state.

Yes. There's a 4th ending exclusive to her as the MC. And it is the most evil ending possible. But, she gets to survive so... yeah.

Someone datamined an ending where the core is replaced/fixed but it isn't in game now.

Karlach accepting her fate in peace is the most beautiful ending for a darkgrim fantasy lover like me. Not everything needs to be roses and sunshine. It also is completely in line with her character to accept that fate with a smile.

I agree with OP, imo she's the best companion by far and the only one who doesn't get to live happily ever after with my half-orc. He saved the world but lost the love of his life, just when she finally could start living free again. Man that ending had me in tears.

- For the first choice Karlach better kill herself (it's her words, she didn't intend to get along with devils in any ways, and prefer death to that kind of options )
- For the second - the vacant place will catch attention of the other devils after Raphael death ( and the fight for place and power will began, also place it well-known place in Avernus, so her previous "owner" will definitily make a move to get her)
- 3 and 4, you actually killed the most experienced person proficient in that technology (Gorlash or Gortash, the Bane Chosen, also the one who sale Karlach to a Demonlord of Avernus and also the one who make cooperation with Zariel to make the Steel atcher project to be succesfull, and Karlach actually the failed branch or test subject, because Steel Watchers are made by fully other way); As for the other people involved, we are out of time for this (the possibility for you to complete every event in game is just for the sake of gameplay and fun, but by scenario you're barely catching on time. The defeating of Brain also destroy the last barrier (maybe stasis effect? or just time up just like i said) that hold her down.
- About 5, some people said what you can enslave Nightsong and propose the possibility to Karlach (at which she refuse and left your party);
- Vault, i didn't robbed them so i don't know about them.

Maybe you should hold back on stupid comments like that, when you actually have no idea what you are talking about. Gortash is not the one who is experienced in that technology, it's the Gondians he enslaved and whose families he imprisoned so they had to work for him.

They literally mass produced Steel Watchers, with functioning engines and could easily have saved Karlach.

The only reason her endings are this awful and why her general story barely has any impact on anything in the game is because she is the latest origin character that made it into the game and they had to put her together in less than 6 months.
She isn't even on the cover / mainartwork of the game, compared to all the other origin characters.
