Why the game is so long?
so i saw online that the game can be 100-150 hours long. If one person play the game only one time how long can it be? and why is so long? this game is not an open world right? what can take you so much time to complete this game?

if someone can answer me that would be great, i want to buy this game, but i love open world games

because it's an rpg, a story based one? those have a tendency to have a longer playthrough

Lots of content, interesting gameplay. I haven't made it to the second act yet, but I've seen a bunch of unique things. The fishmen are preparing an army for me!!

It's not that long, don't believe everything on the internet, it takes around 50 to 70 hours to do everything in the game once; if you explore every basement, talk to every NPC that is.

Honestly a large part of those high numbers is from people leaving the game on, but you can rack up a lot of hours simply reading every note and book and managing your inventory alone.

Take out all the monotonous, unnecessary, clunky and tedious stuff plus all the cutscenes, dice rolling animations and the game becomes really short. It's the design philosophy of this company - "less is more".

a lot of cutscenes, a lot of riddles, a lot of secrets, different quests, a lot of mechanics, a lot of different battles, a lot of unique scenes, different creatures, well, just a lot of opportunities.

It's gonna take you about 10 hours to get through the first few battles and decide to scrap your character and start over, now that you know how to play the game.

Then it's gonna take you about 15 hours to get through the next few battles and decide to scrap your character and start over, now that you really really know how to play the game.

Then if you click past all the dialogue because you think it's boring and you saw that part before, and work your way to the end of the main map area without thoroughly searching every little burrow, bag, and box for powerful loot, you're going to find out you're underequipped for the next big area.

Then it's gonna take you about 20 hours to get through the next few battles and decide to scrap your character and start over, now that you really really **really** **really** know how to play the game.

And so on.
why not?

I mean, it's pretty much an open world there is a lot to find, maybe you will die if you wander into the wrong area too soon but the world is open to you. Plus many people will carefully position each character for every combat encounter which can be pretty time consuming over the course of all those fights. Also if you are save scumming for combat and dialogue rolls you are probably adding 20 hrs to the game. But yeah even an experience run of Divinity 2 was a several day thing and this game is even bigger. It's like asking "why are we meeting for months on end to finish this single DnD campaign" except in a video game. It's long because there is so much content, its not like its 100hrs of pointless filler or something, in this case I think longer is better but you have to accept you are not sitting down for some arcadey experience.

dude that is so funny, i played Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous and that is what i did, i scrap my character like 4 times lol. But this time i dont want to do that, i lose to much time and then i lose interest, there is some good character that you can tell me?

Because it takes some time to reload every time you miss or when you realize that you are stuck in some way...also turn based combat ... I miss real time with pause...

Plenty of sidequests IF YOU GO LOOKING FOR THEM... plenty of additional content IF YOU GO LOOKING FOR IT

this isn't your typical RPG like Mass Effect, Final Fantasy or Diablo...this is a cRPG which means you have to go looking for your content. There's plenty to find in the world. That being said; if you simply mainline the storyline quest you might end up with 40-70 hours of game (combat is a thinking game if you're unknown to this type of RPG)
However; to make the most of the game you gotta explore every nook and cranny of this world... maybe even as different classes/races... that's where those high numbers come from
