Pickpocket Success, but they come talk to me?

I mean, i get to the need to stop me from pickpocketing everything in sight. So this is normal? you success, but youre in trouble anyhow?

Same issue. I tried EVERYTHING and no matter what, despite succeeding all checks, I'm hunted down and attacked or arrested.

Guess that's a dead skill. gg

Ever heard the saying ♥♥♥♥ around and find out? Stick around and find out is the same type. U get your ♥♥♥♥ and ♥♥♥♥ off or stick around until they notice they're missing inventory and you're the closest one to blame.

It's like in DOS2, even though you're successful, NPCs will still realise something is missing and investigate. What I used to do is toss the items to a different companion and then let the NPC search me. Squeaky clean.

I did this and ran off well out of sight and a guard came up and accused me.

I did it again and left the area entirely, and I was once again accused when I came back to the area.

the game said you succeeded in taking the item not that the owner didn't succeed in noticing you took it. There are several times you yourself notice you get your own stuff taken.

Like, take steps to mitigate it. Disguise yourself, turn on turn based mode, pickpocket then leave the area. Not in just a few feet but actually leave a good distance.

It's because you got caught after the fact. You need to hide, steal, run, stay hidden until the npc gives up looking for you.. then return, steal, run, hide.. wait.. imo pickpocketing is well boring. You're actually faster just collecting everything, selling it to the shop, buying what you need and you still end up with thousands of gold coin.. pickpocket is a literal waste of time.
