(HUGE SPOILERS) Tower assault
Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with the assault on Moonrise Towers in act 2? This is the first fight in the game that feels like genuine ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to me.
I'm being forced to attack along a very narrow approach with no room to position or move against enemies that just spam AoE blind and slow abilities in such numbers even 2 characters with counterspell can't stop it.
On top of that, I'm 90% sure Disciple Z'rell's Black Hole ability is either bugged or cheating, because it claims to have a save DC of 15- which gives someone with even a 0 modifier on their INT save a 25% chance to save- and in 10 attempts at this fight, *no one* has saved successfully against the slow even though it's hitting 6-8 people each time. So I have to do the fight with my whole party slowed, on top of everything else.
So.... how the *hell* do you deal with this without just cheating or cheesing the AI?

I had astarion misty step up to the rafters, used hide and coated poison to target z’rell. Of course though once I finished somehow the flaming fist npcs all started attacking.

By the time I was assaulting the tower, my characters were fully geared and had their builds come on line. Shadowheart was a lethal Dark Justiciar spamming darkness everywhere and hunting people in the shadows, Astarion was a slippery sharpshooter who literally didn't need stealth to sneak attack, Gale was throwing Fireball after FIreball after Fireball with enhanced DCs, and my main could jump straight into your face and execute weakened targets with the power of MIND CRUSH -- or his halberd. None of them had trouble staying up through the fight and I was barely taking any damage at all because of how efficiently they were murdering everything in sight.

When there's too many enemies to take on directly, I split them up using Shadowheart's shadows because enemies can't shoot past a cloud of darkness, it obscures vision. But she has no trouble with blackest night and can hunt them safely from within. I can't be shot at by enemy archers from inside the darkness either.
It's simple, interact with the people in the tower, and cause "through events" the enemies to kill each other. Or assassinate groups of enemies in act 2 before the raid, as it will reflect when you fight them later.

I.E. kill any named enemy in the tower like the warden, the orc, and anyone else.

I cleared the courtyard at the front of the building, long-rested, and then went to the left side of the towers by jumping the tree stump. I then un-grouped my part and aggro'd 2-3 enemies at a time and ran outside to drag them away from the sentry orb's. I repeated the process 5-6 times, eventually going around the entire outskirts of the towers. I then tackled the middle, and then the enemies on the stairs before long-resting one final time. Make sure you use astarion's stealth or La'zell's double ranged attack combined with invis potion to take out the orbs. The paladins are super OP so make sure you're not fighting more than 2 at a time. I was rolling shadowheart as my main with a full dark justicer set and legendary spear. Lathandars mace is really OP if you can line enemies up in a line.
