Never received quest for Nightsong?

I saved Liam in the Goblin Encampment and talked to him (all of his dialogue). He never shows up in the Grove for me afterward. No other person has said diddly about "Nightsong" and I've talked to all of the people in the Grove multiple times.

I have done the Moon Puzzle in Priestess Gut's area. I have gone to the Underdark. I have done Grymforge.

NOTHING ever showed up about a "Nightsong" and no quest ever appeared.

Is this a bug that I'm experiencing or is there some alternative way for me to get this quest and progress it? I do not want to start over at the beginning of the game. I'm too far in now.

Am I locked out of the quest?

I have over 100 hours in the game (in total from my EA games to the full release one I'm doing now). I'm, obviously, playing it. I have seen that I should've received it near the beginning of the game in Act 1. I'm already in Act 2. Do you know if there is another way I'll be able to pick up the quest?

You're not locked out, you'll be led back to it through an alternate route in Act 2.

Be aware that a certain people must survive the fight at the gate to get the quest during Act I. Someone has a document, but you'll have to steal it from the corpse if the person dies.
