After act 2 you cant go back in the older maps.
Wow ... how disappointing.
Yeah, they kinda force you to do everything in the map before going there but if i don't feel to do it in that period, I should be able to do older quests or other things later on...that is kinda lame tho.
Oh sorry for the "spoiler" but yeah, be aware of that and don't do my mistake...
Oww come on Larian. This is no Divinity game -.-
There are other things that you can't do anymore....don't wanna spoiler but be aware of the situation of some characters in your party if you choose to go further on.
No you can't find more ingredients. Mithral is incredibly rare. You can craft two things. And there are five molds to pick from. You have choices. You're not able to get everything. And you can't go back.
No need to get any rougher - and it isn't necessary to swing the choice&consequence hammer. Having one more Mithral 40hs later surely wouldn't hurt anyone.
But that's not the point, it was merely an example on how they fell back to their Divinity recipe (consume map, move on). Up to act 2 BG3 didn't give you the idea that it is locking you out of locations. Do characters & locations change? Yes, they do. (-> emerald grove) Are you locked out e.g. of going back to the monastery? No ...
Not being able to visit the beautiful underdark really is an awful prospect.
Dunno about you but I spent about twenty hours or so exploring the underdark. I don't really want to go back yet x)
Well at least they could let us choose to go back to older maps to see if we missed something like secrets or just to explore more, Doing another run just to see what I have missed is kinda lame.
