Travels to olders maps?
I know that the maps are locked to the act that you are in, but would be really nice to have the possibility to go back in older maps to do more exploration or to face enemies that you have avoided in the past for reasons.

I agree. A open world RPG should have that feature.

Ehrm.. you can do that...? I fast-traveled from shadow lands (act 2) back to e.g. the "main map" (waypoint Emeralds grove).

Wow ... how disappointing. :steamsad: Didn't know that (I've only arrived at moonrise towers).

Yeah, they kinda force you to do everything in the map before going there but if i don't feel to do it in that period, I should be able to do older quests or other things later on...that is kinda lame tho.

Oh sorry for the "spoiler" but yeah, be aware of that and don't do my mistake...

So they also designed the game like that. That means e.g. no more adamantine smithing as you prolly can't find more ingredience later in the game :steamsad:

Oww come on Larian. This is no Divinity game -.-

There are other things that you can't do anymore....don't wanna spoiler but be aware of the situation of some characters in your party if you choose to go further on.

No you can't find more ingredients. Mithral is incredibly rare. You can craft two things. And there are five molds to pick from. You have choices. You're not able to get everything. And you can't go back.

No need to get any rougher - and it isn't necessary to swing the choice&consequence hammer. Having one more Mithral 40hs later surely wouldn't hurt anyone.

But that's not the point, it was merely an example on how they fell back to their Divinity recipe (consume map, move on). Up to act 2 BG3 didn't give you the idea that it is locking you out of locations. Do characters & locations change? Yes, they do. (-> emerald grove) Are you locked out e.g. of going back to the monastery? No ...

Not being able to visit the beautiful underdark really is an awful prospect. :steamsad:

Dunno about you but I spent about twenty hours or so exploring the underdark. I don't really want to go back yet x)

The Divinity games were like this too. More like a series of levels, rather than an RPG in an open world which you can travel around at will.

Well at least they could let us choose to go back to older maps to see if we missed something like secrets or just to explore more, Doing another run just to see what I have missed is kinda lame.
