Chest of the Mundane Bugged (?)

So, apparently all my itens in the chest of the mundane now transformed to the actual mundane itens lol, even out of the chest it only shows as trash itens, and new ones that i put, dont transform, they keep the same (equipments and such).

When i mouse over the chest, it still show the correct prices of the itens inside, but individually they are all trash now lol

Take care with the use of that chest, i will have to rollback the save, so i dont lost the 370 things that i had inside it

Your not supposed to fill it with items just loot it xD it is a funny chest but ours glitched the opposite way, everything we put in it stays normal doesn't take mundane form anymore haha

It is, it was used to be a bag of holding, when i put things inside, they became mundane, them when i put back in inventory, they change back to normal. I used it to be able to loot more and have less weight, but from now here it started to bug strange ways, maybe i put too many itens and the game coudnt proccess

It's a fun item I often keep in my storage chest but I don't think it was intended to be used thay way lol probably is a bug obviously but I'm guessing it wasn't stress tested for that haha

I havent had trouble with it but ill keep that in mind and use another container for the garbage

I just experienced this bug in my save and it seems as though the trigger in my world is arriving in Rivington the first time in Act 3. In the camp location my chest worked exactly as designed and as soon as I left camp for Rivington it broke and all items are no longer transmutable. I tested with leaving the Mundane Chest in my Traveler Chest at camp and still no dice, as soon as I enter the town it breaks the enchantment on the chest and the items are stuck. So I just took the items out in my camp chest and saved them that way. Hope they fix it though, the Mundane box was a great "sell this loot" stash.

i used gale's pouch in camp to store all my books and it says 186 on it with huge weight and gold value. but if i open it there's clearly not 186 showing up in there. i think it's hiding some stuff somehow or something. maybe containers don't like being too filled idk

Chest of mundane really shouldnt be used as precious item compartment, just put your barrel inside or your chest containing 21 smoke bomb and fuel your inner barbarian baseball pro

Also OP try to reload a save and put some blossoms in it?, it might work

It was the same, as i arrived at Rivington it stopped working (discovered after looking in all those saves to see where the ♥♥♥♥ started lol.

I used it as "need to sell all that ♥♥♥♥" box, and i tried everything with bloossoms, but looks like it was some trigger at Rivington arrival...

And well, i just gave me that gold worth back and dunked that chest, not using it again

Encountered this bug as well. Was going to scream and reload, until I realized the chest had a sell value of over 14k. Upon further inspection, I noticed that there were some cups worth 2g, and others that were worth 250g. So it looks like while it permanently changes the items into mundane things, they still retain their value.

While I do hope they fix it I can't imagine they stress tested this specific chest I can't say I ever thought to put it thru the ringer by using it as a main storage lol
In fact I have always bin afraid that it's transformation feature could bug out at any time. This is likely a situation of no one who play tested used it for storage the entire game but at best kept it like I did cuz it's cool.

Same bug with chest when entering in act 3.
So if you have it juste empty it in camp before you leave to start act 3.
You can still sell it for the same price he had before the Act 3 trigger btw my was like 10K worth of junk.

You are supposed to use the sussar leaf to dispel the magic on the chest and reveal the items within not use it as some random storage item.
