The genitals option in character creation is basically hidden

I just found out that my first character, which is now level 8, has been walking around with a vagina this whole time because the DEFAULT GENITALS for BODY TYPE 1 which in all regards appears to be MALE is a VAGINA.

Very funny, Larian. Can you add a barbershop npc or something now so I can make it normal?

I noticed this, but because I care a lot about my fella's penis I had to look at the options. It's absurd that you can give a man a vagina. Seriously if you want to play a woman play a woman. Women do not have penises. If you want to play a man play a man. Men do not have vaginas. That's it. Those are the options. There is not third option. there's no opt in to be wildly deformed. Just keep it standard and let people play a proper man or woman as we ought.

The thing that bothers me is that no matter what penis you choose it goes back to the default penis. I assume the same thing happens with vulva. Why even give the option to customise if you're just going to make it go back to the default?

If you select body type first (2 or 4 for males) you likely won't have this problem - it automatically changes the pronouns and genitals to more cis normative standards. That said, it seems to be one of the features they're planning.

That's funny af, but let's be honest, it has zero impact on anything other than your consciousness of knowing it. Game-wise all sex scenes are soft porn category, and apart from that you won't see genitals unless you undress.

I think it would've been funnier if the companions would have dialogue lines written to be surprised about MC's genitals.

It's frustrating to see that some people can't follow a checkist though. Go the top of the screen and go down the items one by one.

Big RPG titles like this should give players the choice to use whatever "versions" they want. If people want the traditional male and female format without additions that bring controversy, then they should offer that. Now if people prefer to have body type 1, 2, 3, etc as replacements, then offer that as well. This way they can still respect everyone's views.

If they really care about being progressive, then they need to do better job on the matter. I could care less if they want to mix things up and have more body type lingo etc, as long as they show respect by giving players these options, then I am willing to show respect back. Games already have disclaimer options to turn off nudity and whatnot, they just need to continue this trend.

Also character randomization in games can be problematic if these things are not addressed properly. At the end of the day they just have to care enough. Unfortunately you are always going to have people on both sides that want what they want and could care less about showing respect/dignity.
