Grym bugs the adamantine forge

Defeating Grym still bugs the Adamantine Forge, and it seems to be a bug present since EA. After you defeat it, if it stays on the middle of the forge (which it should, since it's the easiest way to defeat him), you can't forge another item.

I put the mould on the correct spot, a second mithral ore on the crucible, hammer it... but the platform won't go down. Then I try to use mage hand to press the button to lower the platform manually, but... the lava valve won't budge, so it's impossible to craft a second item. Really frustrating and annoying that it hasn't been fixed since EA.

I could forge 2 items, but I didn't use the hammer to kill Grym.
Are you sure it's not intended?
Try to kill Grym normally ( just use Pots of Speed + Pots of Hill Giant Strength + Blunt weapons on Karlach and Lae'zel, he should go down in one or two turns ) and try again

I killed Grym with the hammer and personally had no issues forging a second item. I almost forgot to add the lava again the second time, are you sure you're doing all the steps in order? mold, mithril, hammer, lava, hammer

When we killed Grym in my coop playthrough, he got stuck on the plate as well but the game still let me access everything and create a second item with him blocking the hammer has to be some sequence bug that has carried over.

Absolutely sure, I even saw a video of it. Like I said, I put the mould and mithril and then activate the hammer, but activating it won't make the platform go down. And if I try to do it manually (by pressing the button below, be it with mage hand or even jumping with a character), then it's the lava valve that won't budge

I'm pretty sure i saw a third one somewhere behind a metal grate but I can't find it for the life of me anymore, was in Grymforge

Once I made second item, I cannot lift the platform back. Lava is not disappearing and clicking on button does not move platform up. How did you progressed further?

Nevermind. Reloading save helped to drain the lava and lift the platform

If Grym dies on top of the forge, everything breaks 😅 Good thing I had quicksaves from throughout the fight! I had to lure him off the forge in order to un-softlock the game.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but technically it's as much because of the crybabies complaining about woke stuff as it is about the crybabies who are pro-woke and ANSWER them... Each answer pushes the thread up :P

By the way. I destroyed Grym with weapons, because it was getting too troublesome to put it under the hammer and the one time I made it he was already too cold to be "destroyable" :P

Not necessarily. I killed Grym with the hammer and he was on top of the forge. At first the forge did not work, but after reloading and activating the ejection lever for the mold, it worked again and I could make two additonal items without problems. Luckily, because you don't have old saves in Honour mode.
