Why are loading times so long?

I am playing on a ssd, and loading times can take a long time, when going to the main menu for example it takes a while, and then, when loading any save it can take 30 to 40 seconds.

They are long, but not as long as you say, at least in my case (usually 5-10 seconds). How old/new is your ssd? The difference between oldgen and newgen ssd's is very big.

It's from 2020, it was the newest at the time

Takes that long for me too. EA was faster.

Maybe a dumb question, but is it connected to a SATA2 or SATA3 port? They look the same on a lot of motherboards so it can be easy to accidentally plug your SSD into a SATA2 and end up running at half the speed it should.

Not sure I will do research and check that, if i am honest I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to pc parts and all that stuff, a friend made this computer for me although most of my games load really fast which is why I am annoyed at this game in particular

I have kc3000 and it indeed takes quite long. Maybe not 30 seconds, but definately noticable when savescumming

Check your ssd speed (you can google it if you need any instructions). If it is as fast as it should be, I guess the problem is with the files or game settings, something must be limiting the speed.

It is kinda slow, yes. M.2 nvme, pretty good one and it takes me 20-40sec, when memory leak hits it got to over a minute.

Do You notice loading times getting longer the more You save and load? They said they fixed that memory leak in previous patches, but it seems the problem is still alive and kicking for me.
