Final Dark Urge Gift is a Tad Underwhelming.
Getting Power Word Kill is pretty cool, but only being able to cast it once seems odd.

Not once per short rest.
Not once per long rest.
Just once in your whole playthrough?

I could understand if it killed ANYONE, but with a one-hundred HP cap, it's not good for much more than offing an above average guard or finishing off someone you were already gonna kill in a turn anyways. Am I wrong here? What do other Dark Urge freaks think?

Yeah, one-time ability is just a joke. They could have done so much more with being a Baal's chosen, it just feels so disappointing.

Wait, what? It's one time ONLY? I thought it was once per long rest! See, now it's too good to be used, just like all those potions i have in my inventory.

They should make it so that killing an ally or neutral resets it's cooldown (max 1/long rest)

Yeah, it feels like maybe they got the 2nd and 3rd rewards mixed up? lol.

You should keep in mind that anything having to do with magic is evil and must be nerfed (could be the credo of 5E). So you get a one-time shot of no significance.
As designer I would have recharged it by my melee damage, up to once per short rest.

There is a mod on Nexus that lets you cast infinite Power word.

I mean to be fair, magic is so overwhelmingly powerful in 5e and martials suffer real bad, so I wouldn't call it the credo of 5e when 90% of balance complaints boils down to martials hurting to compete with casters

the only good thing you get from dark urge is teh cloak you get in act 1.

It seems like it could be useful to finish off a boss if you start losing and might not actually be able to get another 100 damage turn out... but in those situations a second attempt where you don't make whatever big mistake you made the first time is just as easy/not locked to once per game
Yeah, that's sucky. I thought the Slayer form was kinda underwhelming, even if looked so, so cool, but a power you can only use once is even worse. The cape you get in act 1 is still amazing even in the later acts.

A one time power that's not refreshable by any means...

Welp, guess Redeemed Durge is best Durge, because the other route just sucks.
They could of at least made it a unique Divine Intervention power with options, but I guess not?

Meanwhile devils in Pathfinder WotR are laughing mockingly in perk that let them use it as spell-like ability at will...

Didn't you get an insane dagger?

Dagger? I only know of one plus its paired shortsword and are both weapon drops from Orin.

frankly it doesn't matter 93% of players use custom characters like i already said in EA, origins the way Larian does them are a waste of money and devs time... Would better be used on making custom characters playthroughs better.
