Or is it a different issue you're seeing?
Edit : mb thought great weapon.
Two weapon is fine too. Very good too. Jlsame issue though since they'll default to using that bonus action on a swing.
Edit: to be more specific, i see in the logs that it's adding it to the attack roll but it specifically states that TWF style adds your modifier to the damage roll. That's why I'm confused.
I'm having the exact same issue on my TWF Swords Bard using Hard Crossbows. It was working at one point, I think?
Action main hand, bonus action for off-hand. You need the fighting style to add your modifier into the off-hand which fighters, paladins and rangers can get, and the weapons have to have the light property (meaning they're properly balanced so you can wield them in your main hand and off hand without issue) unless you get the feat at level 4, 8 or 12 that lets you use any one-handed weapon.
If you are struggling with dual-wielding, look to see if the weapons have the light feature, if you are proficient with the weapons or you have the stats to make it work.
How dual wielding works is you can make attacks with your offhand weapon as 'bonus' actions. However there are a few stipulations:
You can only dual wield weapons with the Light property (unless you have the Dual Wielder feat)
Off-hand weapons do not get ability bonus to damage, (Unless you use hand crossbows or have the two weapon combat style).
So there are ways to make it work but you do need to keep the above in mind. A few notes:
Thief subclass (rogue 3) gives an extra bonus action. This can be used to make one more off-hand attack.
Fighter 1 and Ranger 2 get a combat style which can be used for two weapon combat.
Hope this helps!
Paladins also can get it.
sword bards gets Two Weapon Fighting...
Paladins only get the free dex from hand crossbows...
it's just bad
Second weapon used just once and using a bonus action
1d8 (at best, it may be 1d6 or 1d4) + 1d8 + 1d8 = 3d8 + bonus = 3-24
with 2h weapon it's 1d12 + 1d12 = 2d12 = 2-24 and you still have a bonus action
