Spell Slots

Are sorcerers limited to one spell use for each spell per day? I can not cast my burning hands, but I can cast other level 2 spells.
Is that by design or a bug?

Burning Hands is a level 1 spell.

Wizards can overcast spells to use higher level slots. Idk if Sorcerers can.

you run out of spell slots? you can upcast your spell with higher level spell slots

I figured it out. It was because I had the spell as a character creation feature. Which is also why it was set to level 2. It cannot be up cast or cast with a level 1 slot.
Sorcerers function pretty much exactly like wizards for spell casting. Thank you though

I am constantly running out of slots. But normally just push through with scrolls before a long rest.
