I can't beat a level
I can't seem to beat the enemies in the ruins which you have to explore in the beginning of the game. Should I come back when I level up more?

Usually, if you play on a balanced settings with a full party of 4, you should be able to handle it.

Try using your environment more, I recall there is a few explosives barrels past the first room. You can try to pull out your party behind the door and ambush them near the doorway. There is many ways to fight!

Grave robbers or Undead?
Either way, it helps to trigger the fight, then run to a corner, side room, or other place, and wait for them to come to you. Retreat, stealth, and cheese line of sight to force them to pursue, then swarm with melee or better yet, ranged crossfire.

If they won't follow, toss something flammable to encourage them.

You may have to lower the difficulty if you can't handle it. There is a bell you can shoot down to drop on enemies below it.

For the first batch out front, the hook up top makes the fight trivial. Drop it early.

Second fight - the door is a choke and apparently the enemies don't know about the lever on their side of the door so you can funnel enemies in one by one by LoS and then pull the lever when they're through.

Skeletons. I dont have a strategy here. I just run at them and they crumble.

Play more. This is the skill gap you must close in order to enjoy the game.

Show us your build too so we can help you to fix it.

if you met gale, use sleep spell against those brandit. sleep remove them from fight, and also attack slept enemy you get critical damage.

One thing that can help with the skeletons is looting them before pressing the button to trigger the fight, they will have less attacks or items to use...

Disagree. Most of them just spam spells except for the sword and board one down by the statue which don't need weapons.

Party of four is more than enough for that dungeon.

The only issue that you'll have is with the sarcophagus if you don't have a Rogue-like character and some trap disarming kits.

You'll have to come back later to finish the job.

Yeah, I struggled there too. I just levelled up a bit more and came back later, you can kind of funnel enemies through the door and close it again with the lever like another poster already said, should keep the ranged units off your back to give you some breathing room. I've also seen someone just entering the ruin from the ceiling by dropping the large stone outside on the floor. You will be able to attack the enemy from the side by using the barrel to ignite a fire. You can even block the entrance with a door or a stool or something. The game usually gives you multiple ways to solve an issue or make a fight easier, just need to be creative and not singularly think in terms of brute force (merely doing damage).

at least they only cast silence and ray of frost now, instead of sleep and magic missile like in EA

The one in front of Jergal statue has pretty good attack stat with a scimitar.

Take the scimitar.

I can't find any barrels.

Are you talking about the ruins near the beach?

Also are you talking about the battle inside or outside? I persuaded outside so I don't know how to fight that. For inside you can

1. Persuade at the door. Kill 1 guy. Then sneak in and kill the others 1 by 1.

2. From the outside, break the floor. Enter through the hole and do some hit and hide behind the walls tactics. It should at least get all the enemy ranged units to gather near there.

Then maybe blow up the powder/oil/wine keg nearby with Gale's firebolt,

P.S. split up your party as necessary with G. You can do pincer tactics. Make sure to use sneak so that Group 2 can sneak attack after the battle start.

P.S.S sneak is kinda broken. Abuse it.

So I leveled up and went back and beat them. But now I can't beat the goblins where you have to kill the leaders. There are so many of them. Do I have to level up and go back there to beat them?
