They respawned already 3 times. What is the deal with this fight? How do you kill all rats there?

You keep killing. They don't respawn forever.

There is something down there and they are attacking me. I did not attack them in first place.

I also do not have a party member with "animal speak" (From DOS2 I know I should but tried to get away with just animal handling, going to have animal speak on one of the next playthroughs) :(

Rats not a problem, but bugs! All waves of rats rapidly suicide in Priest AoE (just all party stayed in AoE and I pressed "space" a few times) and now looks like my fight stuck. No enemies, just infinite combat state.

I spoke to the rats and they f**king hate me and want me to leave - I asked them if it was wise to threaten someone bigger than them and they said something like "Just try it! There is an army of us!"

I left them alone because I figure they'd all turn agro on me, they'd still nip at me with an "infectious bite" if I got to close

DAMN! Some rats spawns on TOP floor and you can't see them in turn order. Also they don't move coz can't use rocky "ladder". Just killed them and "boss" spawned. A bit strange and buggy spawnpoint for mobs.

there are holes around the area that you need to destroy in order to keep them from popping out continuously, and then you can win the battle
