Last Light Inn is awful
Spoilers for early Act 2.

I beat the life outta Marcus and most of his goons on turn 1. Turn 2 Isobel runs through my Moonbeam onto the balcony taking a ton of damage, right into range of the last 2 enemies. They fly up and cut her to ribbons. RIP Inn. Seriously who thought this part was good?
I had that fight won and the AI screws me over by being dumb as rocks. I'll just do it again later but man, had to quit for a minute after that.

Yeah, sometimes I wish they gave you control over the non-party NPCs in a fight like that.
That's one complaint I have. Fighting for your life against Marcus and his goons, but apparently if Isobel so much as gets knocked unconscious, everyone just stops fighting and watches him carry Isobel away without stopping him.

At least let me tell her to take cover or assist allies.
She was running out to heal one of the no-name harpers and got herself horribly out of position. Next time I'm just gonna tell Karlach to throw her ass in the corner or something.

Sometimes the stupidity of the AI is the real difficulty setting.

Sometimes?

It’s just that during that fight the npc is an ally, and one doesn’t really care when it’s the enemy the one that makes silly actions.

You could have two casters with you; one giving Isobel Greater Invisibility, the other giving her Enhance Ability: Cat's Grace then Sanctuary both Casters to prolong how long she stays out of trouble.

"Careful, there are traps here!" -proceeds to walk directly into the trap they just detected.-

Also, there's a clear path around the flames. -walks right through the fire-

Earlier today my entire group walked directly through the lava at the Grymforge after I jumped over it. They all died, burning to death and begging for help.

It was dumb.

You have to keep casting sanctuary on Isobel because she keeps attacking the enemies, its very annoying and its probably one of the few encounters I "savescum" and dont feel bad about it.

If that can be any comfort, we (almost) all stepped into Isobel being a wreck in this fight.
It's become a meme

I wonder how a Selune cleric does not have spirit guardian here... Did she skip the school during the lesson? Being dead might be a valid excuse though [/spolier]

Just remember any protective and healing magic you can cast on party members, you can also cast on allied NPCs. Especially ones you most definitely have to make sure don't get KO'd like Isobel.

Which she constantly breaks by attacking. Maybe tone down the unnecessary condescension, especially when it's grossly ignorant of what happens in the game?

I just put sanctuary on her whenever I'm able, or CC her and turn her invisible.

She does want to die though, no lie there.

Protection from Evil and Good is a better choice, doesn't turn off when she attacks something. That and Shadowheart firing off Turn Undead and firing up Spirit Guardians and staying near her in case anything gets too close got me through that fight with very few dead allies.
