anyone get black screen w UI still open?

this started after like 150 hours of playing w no problems and I'm not running mods. been checking my GPU and CPU temps, cleared cache, verified files, internet speed, tried switching to Vulkan, updated drivers. thoughts?

After ghe new update I've had some issues yes. But usually solved by waiting out or changing character. Note: my graphics card is below minimums. Also in game only happened once (solved by changing focus character) and it always happens when levelling up characters, when switching character (solved by waiting some time).

what gpu is it? is it crashing to the desktop, you might be able to see something in Event Viewer even if it doesn't crash out completely. I'd try shutting down background stuff, like Mouse & Keyboard apps, run in Windowed mode at a low resolution

you might try re-initializing the driver with Win+Ctrl+Shift+B

If it does happen on combat, Disable the camera that follows the enemy/character who’s playing the turn.

Yes, especially when I fast travel to a new location. I can get out of it by talking to a companion using the portraits. It's like the camera is underground or something and needs to be reminded where we are.

Ive seen a lot of black screens lately, usually whenever i zone after a portal or click-to-new-area. My GPU is waay above required, but the only fix I've found so far is ctrl+shift+windowskey+b which seems to clear it for awhile.

thanks for the reply! radeon 7900. game keeps running and I can move around but everything except for the UI is totally black. i've lowered res, etc. n when this happens, if I switch to/from windowed/full screen it fixes it temporarily

with the recent hotfix, HDR is broken for me. in DX11 my screen will be black except for UI on a scene change sometimes. I can fix it by changing a graphics setting (even windowed/fullscreen toggle will do) or if I disable HDR it's fine

I'm getting the black screen in several places.. The first time it happened was when I entered the worg pens. i quick saved and reloaded and it cleared up but has happened several times since.;

I’m having the same issue I just bought a new desktop and it started happening. It happens when I fast travel or trigger loading new location. Did anyone find a fix ?

Having the same issue. Usually just have to change a graphics setting and it works again until entering a new area.

Happened 4-5 times on the goblin camp.

Using recommended settings with a 4070 so not like i’m pushing it either.
