Bug getting Amulet of Bhaal

Went through the Tribunal battle twice after I realized I didn't have the Amulet of Bhaal an hour after the first go through. Killed him again, still no Amulet of Bhaal. Is this a new bug that won't let you finish the game?

Seravok will give it to you -or- if you kill him, take it from his body, The choice of killing or not killing him may depends on choices you previously made in the game.

Never had him not to drop the Amulet of Bhaal. I just did it yesterday.

You using mods? I assume you got to him the correct way, using the password for the secret door?

You don't need the Amulet. You can use Knock to open the door.

Thank' you all. I will get Gale to learn the spell (if I can find it). He's already level 20 so I don't think the game will just give it to him. I can't see how a mod, like longer hair, could effect the items the game drops. How could that possibly be?

Just respec him and have him learn it on level up. All the spells you learned through Scrolls prior will still be in his list. Just learn one of the other spells you're losing through its own scroll instead.

Well, Raz had the answer. I got a hireling wizard to learn knock, and got the darn door open. Thank you all once agian.

Okay got clear to the doors at the Temple of Bhaal to kill Orin and guess what, you need the darned Amulet of Bhaal to get the doors open there, and the 'knock' spell won't work. So this totally ruins the game for me. The tech guy said to put it back to patch 7, but the character can't even load those saved games because he was created in Patch 8. Does anyone have a clue about how to fix this? I did all the steps, kill the murderer, stole his "hand bag" everything else is done.
