Back to Athkatla !
The first part of the incoming Mod "Path to Menzoberranzan" takes place in Athkatla (remember BG ?) and it looks stunning !

Can't wait to revisit that place in the BG3 engine :

And ultimately, MENZOBERRANZAN !!

Could've just added that to your other thread, instead of creating another one of the same topic. 😛

So when do we get the nude mod from the mod geniuses making the mod as mentioned in the video? Pretty sure the video author said so... I heard nude mod anyways. This is what I want to know! :D

lol on a serious note I hope they complete it. Regardless of what the video author says (and his false modders vs. developers narrative, but whatever gets clicks), these massive mods don't usually make it to completion unfortunately for a reason. Like maybe 1 out of every 15-30 attempts.

Sure it can start with a large healthy development crew and great plans, but the projects tend to lose people over time quickly, and get really screwed if something happens to the major creative force behind the mod or worse, that creative force just loses interest.

Especially during the hard parts like trying to script out quests/dialogue. Also world making can be a headache if the modding tools for such aren't straight forward.

And when they do get released it's 10 years down the road. Skyblivion is almost here though! ... Maybe. :p

We did get Fallout London, but that never interested me personally. :/

Also Skyrim's Enderal: Forgotten Stories and Falskaar but never got around to playing them.

I miss the days of NWN1 mods which were arguably the golden age of community adventure modules, because the tools were so good and simple allowing hundreds of good story mods to be made. Even massive module server MMO-like communities. NWN2 kind of screwed that up which meant less modules and creativity. Plus a worse game with bad production value.

Anyways from my armchair modder perspective, the best way to approach these Mods due to history I think, is to just focus on your main plotline/areas first. Complete the mod as a skeleton linear story mod then add more areas/quests over time (don't release it though until it's ready or you hit a modder brick wall). So many neat failed mods would be playable for NWN1, NWN2, Fallout NV, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Skyrim etc etc. if big mod projects such as these focused that way. Rather than tons of unreleased 30% done open world huge mods no one ever plays or the released content is objectively unplayable and unfun. :/

Doing the above may attract more player/community investment too (maybe even monetary) if its assured that something will see the light of day.

If it does come out in the next few years, I'm happy that I just made an Underdark attire for Half Drow Fey/Druid characters:

I always wanted to play a powerful Half-Drow in Drow culture too and see how that ends up feeling like. Underdark hype!

Hope this mod turns out to be another Skyrim: Enderal: Forgotten Stories and Falskaar as top end product.

Why would you need a nude mod? You can do that without any mods. Just set camp clothes to be always showing and then don't wear any camp clothes. You'll still be running around with all your gear on, but it won't show.
It does look funny entering combat and everyone pulls their weapons out of their a$$ lol.

Yeah I know I was reaching for my joke, but I wanted to use the words the video author used more or less lol.

Also I don't understand why CRPGs never make full hide/show toggles or some type of outfit studio thing in game that you can just pick what clothes/weapons/accessories appear. :p

The toggle to show your weapon with camp clothes can also be a pain if you're using light cantrip on yourself for example. Especially in Act 2, because each time you do an action you lose your weapon, which can lead to some bad things out of combat. :D

Yea I'm honestly surprised no one has made a light mod that works for camp clothes. I mean I'm not running around naked, but I am usually running around in camp clothes outfits.
I usually cast light on the cambion or deva I summon, which is a decent work around once you reach those levels, but it would be nice if I could just cast light on myself instead.
