I have checked my previous saves and it doesn't happen there, in my latest one it won't go away even if I sleep and loose shadow blade from my inventory, the debuff still remains. Is it a bug?

Weird this happens when I respec I fear its a bug

Yes, this is a bug that hasn't been fixed from the stress test. If you use Wither to respec and remove the gifted starter weapon, Bladesong Impeded condition will be permanent. At this moment, respecing to Bladesinging is borked.

If you start a new fresh campaign with a custom character, it doesn't have the bug. Just don't respec. It's unknown if Larian will fix this in a timely manner or be relegated to low priority. Even tho this can be borked your character really bad.

Was your only weapon at hand a Longsword?
Cause that probably would cause an issue cause without Dual Wield feat cant have LS in off-hand.

Other than that I read somewhere that you cannot have a non-Bladesinger weapon in off-hand likely due to animations not being made for it.

Everyone that did Shadowblade had a proper bladesinger weapon that could be weilded in one hand in main hand when casting shadowblade.
So...

I had shadowblade in main and shortsword on offhand, I started a new campaign with friends and I haven't respec this time but I had to calculate all from start so I wouldn't respec.

I hope you haven't gone too far in your previous campaign. Good luck!

PS: Gamefever, if you want to experience the bug just respec with Withers to Bladesinging. Enjoy the permanent debuff. LOL.

I have tried,
Been playing Bladesinger, respeced a few times cant get the bug to proc.

So it must be a sequence of actions taken that causes it.
