How is everybody finding the new Photo Mode camera? oh and ImpUI.
This is my big question. What I am most curious about is this -- I don't really care about using it for selfies and all that goofy crap.

What I want to ask people - and the problem is I don't have any good saves at points where I can test this, so this is why I'm asking .... can you activate it and use it in combat, and most importantly, does it add verticality/angle/range to viewing when you use it that way ... i.e. give most of the features of NativeCameraTweaks (bearing in mind I've never used that one, but I hear it has those features).

The existing camera's limitations are frustrating in certain situations, and I'm wondering if the Photo Mode can overcome them.

I also have one question: ImprovedUI aka now just ImpUI says it is no longer Patch 8 compatible and should be deactivated. The warning also says don't worry about anything that still says it needs it as a dependency. Is it "safe" to deactivate?

Eh, it's just a feature I have no interest in ever using.

I don't care about the selfie feature. What I'm asking is - I read in the Patch Notes the F9 key can ALSO activate it in combat, and then in combat you can take advantage of additional camera angles, verticality, and range, ignoring the selfie stuff.

Anybody tested this out?

Well almost nobody uses it because there is no real reason to do so.
Screenshots ingame? Why?
Some time ago there was a trend of auto screenshotting while you earned a achivment, that at least seemed a bit usefull serving as picture diary of some sort.
Not talking Bg3 specific, just generall on gaming.

Tbh. I even kicked random people of my friendlist beacause they posted pictures every gaming session they played, cluster image dropping all over my timeline.

Again, I repeat - I bet a lot of people don't care about the selfie feature -

Has anybody tested it for combat purposes, using the additional camera features for combat? THAT is my question. I would test this myself if I had a good save location where I could ... but I don't.

To answer your question since I've used it quite abit, yes you can use in combat and yes you can change to any angle using q/e: Horizontal and x/c: Vertical but the character effects and the opportunity attacks arrow effects will still be visible sadly

Cool, then for me it will have an actual use. Thanks for answering!

BTW, there's ALREADY a mod on mod.io which says it can extend the range of the Photo Mode camera even further. (And doesn't require any DLLs or stuff!) Has anybody tried it?

You literally have a screenshot showcase on your profile
