How to beat Yurgir?
Karlach she said orthons don't like getting projectiles thrown back at them but I don't have a monk to throw them back.

Hes stronger than an ogre, he could outbash an ogre, he is fast, durable, intelligent, wise and he even got his own swag and a little ditty, yet for all his skills he basically plays like a drow/halfing rogue made of paper, he disappears every single turn and hits you with dinky little hand crossbows and even Raphael is afraid of him.

I had Lazel run away go back to camp and bring every explosive she had and set them off and it did not even hit him but lazel died so now I am hiding behind withers trying to pick pocket him because I on;y have 132 gold thanks to the last light inn

How do you beat Yurgir?

You can use the Throw action to toss the bombs he sets back at him.

See Invisibility and other effects that reveal invisible creatures can work sometimes, but the most reliable way I've found to defeat invisible creatures is to just hit them. Besides AOE attacks, if you know where they are after they turn invisible, you can simply fire your ranged weapon behind them so the arrow would go through them, and it will hit them instead. You can even cheese knowing exactly where they are, even if they moved or something: Invisible creatures still have a hitbox and cannot be moved through, so you can tell exactly where an invisible creature is by mousing around and watching your movement pathing line. If the movement line contorts around a circle where there should be nothing, that is your invisible guy. Very metagamey, but useful if other methods aren't working and/or you're struggling. We used this trick a lot in an act 3 fight, where there were several enemies that went invisible every turn and 4+ see invisibility sources couldn't spot them.

1) Talk to him and convince him not to fight
2) He will throw bombs at you. Pick them up. They are now your bombs.
3) His main trick is turning invisible. Use AOE effects to reveal him. Even something as harmless as "create water" will reveal invisible people.

As long as you can see him, he's no tougher than many other enemies you'll face at that point.
You can literally just tell him to kill himself and all his friends, and he'll do it.

ya only if you have high persuade but he is a really fun boss fight for sure

im mean ya you can get him into a narrow hall way and you have the advantage but in an open room he can be tough cause he invisible and runs around and throws bombs

If you are willing to skip any of the dialogue options you can sneak up to the ledge and kill the cat-thing patrolling down there and that will trigger combat from all of them. They'll have to gradually filter down there and you can pick them off systematically.
I use words.

I told him I would investigate the area for him...they all wandered down from their height advantage next to me, so I picked up the Umbral Gem and started the fight...but at least they didn't have the height advantage.
Talk to Volo about ur parasite problem and let him deal with it.

Go to the right side, upstairs, and start a surprise attack.

Use spells with area damage.

The fight is a bit tricky, but with the right starting position it's actually very feasible.
Trick him to kill himself.

You don't have toand he can become an ally in the House of Hope fight against Raphael.

That can happen regardless of how the meeting resolves, so not really a reason to hold back.

If you solve Yurgir's problem for him, he allies with you automatically. If you kill him, it's a DC30 persuasion check.

I got this the easy way in the Gauntlet of Shar. At that point, I knew Raphael was living on borrowed time ;-)
