Oath of the Crown build ideas?
Figured id start a discussion asking this, wanna see what peoples thoughts are on this class. To go pure or multiclass, what equipment to use, what feats, abilities, spells to take, etc.

No one responded to this? I would like to see some ideas myself, since my friend is forcing me to play as one for my first campaign thru -_- Gonna be a Half-Elf regardless of what though I guess.

I mean, most of us didn't play the Beta Test so not really sure how much they are changing.
I'm thinking doing a DEX Paladin with them. Start with 16 DEX and 16 CHA, maybe only 13 CON to take Resilient CON at lvl 4. Then just raise DEX and CHA to 18. Sword and shield tanking. HP is a bit low but your AC is high enough that it should be OK. High CHA for Champion's challenge and some Paladin spells. Concentrate on Bless or Spirit guardians when you reach level 9. End-game use a good shield and Belm, because Belm gives you a bonus action attack even with shield so you will have 3 attacks per round. For race high elf or high half-elf to get Booming blade.

Seems pointless going Crown if you want to multiclass since most of their useful toolkit is gained at later levels. Not saying you can't but then you might as well play another subclass if you aren't using that extra utility.

It’s a tank subclass, so build as much AC as you can with it ?
There is not much theory crafting in single class paladins really.
I'm thinking 6 pala 4 swashbuckler 2 hexblade warlock. Max charisma, use a finesse weapon, heavy armor and a shield. This is in no way a stealth build. Start with your bonus action attack to try to blind or disarm the enemy then follow up with a sneak attack and an extra attack. You also get booming blade because why not, a giant bonus to all your saves with aura of protection, and can see in magical darkness and have the buffed eldritch blast damage.
If you really want the level 7 pala feature you can technically take 7 pala 1 warlock instead and drink radiant resist elixirs to reduce self damage, but honestly I would rather use my reaction for an opportunity attack most of the time.
If you just want as much tankiness as you can get do 6 pala 4 swashbuckler 1 hexblade and then either 1 in light cleric for warding flare or 1 in shadow sorcerer for free death recovery and darkvision along with the shield spell.
