just download the item spawner then.
( to say, i do not agree with skipping 80% of the game, just to speed to the end, where is the fun in that?)
Just get some linear game instead.
I dont get it ) :
Anyway, I'm not aware of a save editor similar to (for example) EEKeeper in the BG1/BG2 games.
Then you aren't paying attention. Which again is both obvious, and won't score you many points with this crowd. As soon as you get to some people with more knowledge they basically all tell you that while they can't really help you the fact of the matter is you should have turned by now. In other words you have a benefactor who obviously wants something from you. Rushing forward under those conditions is dangerous. As you don't know your benefactor you don't know what will change their mind, or how they are keeping you safe.
What's the point of this silly lie?
You can't get that quest until you've already gone out of your way and blundered into Waukeen's Rest. You aren't sent there by Wyll or anyone else; if anything, you can learn that the captive has already been removed from the place so there's no point in going there. (I'm not sure Wyll necessarily believes that, but nothing forces you to listen to him making a mistake.)
There are also all kinds of cheat mods that would do what external cheat programs would.
The Cheater's Scroll can give you any vanilla item that exists in the game, PLUS some items that are in the game files, but are otherwise inaccessible. Plus, as the name suggests, it can do other kinds of cheaty things, too, including "god mode" stuff like automatically succeeding at all dice rolls. Or character editing.
It is possible to spawn any item in the game using script extender, but you need the proper syntax and the item's UIUD. It is much quicker and easier to do it using CS.
Alas, CS can't spawn mod-generated or created items, its one flaw. Neither can any non SE-based mod I've found, either.
