Baldur's Gate 3

View Stats:
[BARD] 2,392 Bardic Inspirations per long rest JUST AT LEVEL 5 -- 2,990 at level 8
Alright, so I've done the math; if you make all 11 characters, including yourself, a bard, you'd get 649 die manipulations per long rest. Here's the math...

if I run a full party of bards, at level 5 I could do something incredibly broken? Presume I give all of them the lucky feat. That's 4x3 for 12 lucky points in the party. At level 5 I have 4 Bardic Inspirations per person- which recharge every short rest. All of this with 4 total Song of Rest.

So I could take 7 collective short rests with 4 people, and mind you, this is excluding the possibility of swapping out people for others which would mean more... So 4*7 is 28 bardic inspiration with cutting words, per person, per long rest... 28*4 is 112 die manipulations for the party total per long rest, plus the 12 collective Lucky rolls, so 124... Again, this is just at level 5. Come level 8, I'd have 5 per person for. 5*7 is 35, 35*4 is 140, 140 + 12 is 152.

152 Bardic Inspiration dice with Cutting Words, and Lucky dice, per long rest for only four people... May God have mercy on my soul

Alright, so there's Tav, Astarion, Gale, Karlach, Lae'zel, Shadowheart, Wyll, Halsin, Jaheira, Minsc, and Minthara. That's 11 total.

11+3 (11= Number of total times Song of Rest can be used, 3= the number of times Bardic inspiration recharges) is 14. 4 dice * 14 is 56. 56*11 would be 616, plus the 3 Lucky dice per 11 people, which would be 33. 616+33 = 649... If everyone was a bard, you could have 649 die manipulations PER LONG REST, JUST AT LEVEL 5

Once you get 5 Bardic Inspiration dice per person, the total jumps to 803 total die manipulations per long rest

E:

Oh my god, you can respec the hirelings as well.

For level 5:

11+12+3 gives us 26. 26*4 = 104. 104*23 is 2,392...

At this point, lucky is just funny

26*3 = 78. 78 + 2,392 = 2,470

For level 8:

11+12+3 gives us 26. 26*5 = 130. 130*23 is 2,990...

26*3 = 78. 78 + 2990 = 3,068

You can only get three hirelings at once, real math is this:

11+3+3 gives us 17. 17*4 = 68. 68*17 is still an egregious 1,156 per long rest

Fun fact: Game promotes diversivity but there is not a single left handed person in game. You also can not make left handed character yourself.

But they have goofy left-handed animations for the right-handed people while running- I can't name exactly which weapons, but I've noticed with two-handed weapons that some are put in your left hand in the above grip, as if they once had left-handed animations which they bailed on
You could run 4 spore druids-necromancers and just chill looking at what happens on your screen.

I was going to say that you would need a whole new set of defensive animations, but if you miss, the defender just jumps out of the way, so it would've been fairly easy (just flip the animations for attackers).
But is this just some random post unrelated to the topic, or did you have something meaningful to contribute?

Lol. I have did that. A party of 4 Circle of Spore Druids. Having up to 30 members in your group is hilarious fun. And the enemy's AI can not handle it.

The biggest drawback however, is the bottlenecks they can create in a fight.

And you better have a good system that can handle all that is going on.

Hello! Have a good day:lunar2019piginablanket:
Well, we didn't go as far as 4 spore druids-necromancers, we didn't even bothered multiclassing our druids because we thought it'd trivialize the game even more at some point. Now I'm pretty sure we can take any class, use 4 characters of that class, and cheese the game mixing all the abilities that class can get.

Alright, I made a mistake- you can only recruit 3 hirelings at once, so the real math is:

11+3+3 gives us 17. 17*4 = 68. 68*17 is still an egregious 1,156

Nice. I'd always theorised a full party of bard's would be obscene but I never got around to running the numbers. Nice work
