Managed to kill Mizora in act 1 and save Wyll's human form
I just wanted my boy Wyll not to have horns as he already lost his eye and couldn't sacrifice Mama K for that. Does anyone know whether there will be any consequences in act2 or act3 for that?

No, but he had Laezels underwear, if it helps.

Lmao I did that too actually with Wyll. He was wearing it during the super serious romance scene in Act 3 where he pretty much proposes... wearing that.
We need more such outfits for goofy cutscens xD.
It suits him better though. Plus Laezel with Wyll original clothes it gorgeous.

Wow, thanks for detailed analysis. As I said in act 1 she doesn't have Zariels Protection as she supposed to talk to Wyll and everyone outright.

The Wiki implies it always affects her in camp, though not in the endgame where she's a combat ally.

Of course, perhaps due to oversight, figuring nobody would attack her in a cutscene, you might be right Larian forgot to turn it on for her in Act 1. You also probably triggered a bug where she appears even though Karlach is dead - and Wyll is dead also since you say you killed him too (I guess you rezzed him later?) - if Wyll's dead, she's not supposed to appear at all. Again, you've pulled off a hack around the game's scripts. She probably appeared and the game didn't "know" what to do/show next since both Karlach and Wyll were dead. Then you got the jump on her. Smart hack.

I'm really curious though how it will work out in underwater prison while saving Duke or her being captured by cultists. As for now Wyll has always "I want to speak" sign, but doesn't say anything unusual.

You are in the territory of who the F knows, mon frere, as I suspect you have broken the game's normal scripting. I can tell you when I did this recently, with imitating a Durge when I wasn't a Durge, weird ♥♥♥♥ stopped my game progress. So who knows.

But I would suspect, if she's dead, she can't be abducted and imprisoned, Cambions might respawn after death in the hells but I'm not sure they can come back to the Prime Material immediately. LOL. She's not gonna appear in the prison (or even before to taunt Wyll) ... she's dead. Unless this is another situation where the game's scripts will remain broken and not acknowledge it.

Then my night watch begins and doesn't end till I figure all out :)

Answering your question, Wyll is alive and well, for now at least .

Wow, that interesting though. How did you imitate durge?

The Disguise Self as Origins mod at mod.io, which not only lets you take on the appearance of origins, while playing as Tav, but also acquire some of their "tags". (This can also be done for SH, Gale, etc. as well as Durge.)

I've been messing with that, as well as a Nexus mod that lets you give other characters avatar status, effectively letting them experience origin content, even if you didn't start your playthrough "as" them. That allowed my hack "nobody has to become a mindflayer" to work .... and changed up the game's ending.

Also one that lets Tara appear at camp in Act 1 and interact with Gale (Find Familiar: Tara), again, even if you are NOT playing as origin him. No surprise, Tara won't talk to anybody but Gale, but her interactions are interesting. (Up until this point, I only talked to her on a roof in Rivington, or in the Epilogue.)

I've been curious about ways to experience origin content without actually doing it, and this has been part of my experiments.

That's actually smart. This way you can experience all hidden "only for original character" content. Gonna try my next playthrough.
If you kill her before a certain sexy event with her, you will miss that. Happens in Act 3.

Update: I'm in the end of act 2 and according to contract that mizora somehow gave me without appearing in the world I need to save her. Problem is she is not in the pod. I can reach her in my backpack, but I cant interact with her in any way. If I go further, I guess Wyll will just die. Any suggestions?
turns out trying to break the game can break the game
seeker1 lähetti viestin:

BTW, I'm not chiding you for pulling off a hack; I think I figured out one myself for changing the ending of the game so no one (important) becomes a mindflayer; but I'm just pointing out to other folks, it is a cheese/hack. Shouldn't have worked. Won't normally if they try and kill Mizora in camp. Could even have a certain runwanted epercussion if they succeed.

I have did the final battle in the game 8 times now, without anyone becoming a Mindflayer. However I always pick the Emperor to dominate the Netherbrain with the Nether crystals. Which is not a exploit or hack.

But I agree, this topic is certainly about doing a exploit that is not something one is suppose to be able to do. And thus, can mess events up in it also.

Lol. Exactly.

Curiosity is only natural for human being. Trying to do something off script without using mods or cheats and see the consequences is what drives many player around the world and gives inspiration to game creators, so they could understand player base and script even most unexpected deeds.
Btw. Nothing happens to Wyll, because pod is empty and it doesn't trigger Mizora screaming and Wyll being condemned to eternal suffering. So, yeah. Kill Mizora and save my boy Wyll beautiful human look.
then you get to act 3 and his quest chain is broken

Because killing Mizora is unexpected, worst case scenario is CTD later in the game (likely by de-referencing a null pointer). Programmers are sometime lazy testing that when "that should never happens" ;-)

Well, I'm gonna find out what happens if you hack a KO'd Minthara into your camp early and arrive at Moonrise with her already in your camp. Will two copies of her appear? Will the copy in your camp teleport to Moonrise to go on trial? Or will the trial never happen? Will one copy of her stay in the prison and the other in your party? (I guess I would leave her "clone" in the prison.) Only one way to find out.

I can tell you my hack to experience Durge without starting as Durge started making the game break down .... on the other hand, I'm enjoying Tara in my camp without playing Gale as origin ... that seems to work without problems.
