No.
I have to agree. As far as turn-based RPGs go, BG3 is certainly on the more flashy side of things, but it is still heavily entrenched in 5e's turn-based mechanics. It isn't unheard of for people that don't normally like turn-based games to like it, but if this is a major concern for OP...he'd probably just be wasting his time and money. Edit: There's also lots of downtime between combats, relatively speaking. If all you are looking for is a deep tactical combat game, that might grate.
Normally I would say to anyone "just buy it and see" but since it's not usually something you would go for, I would suggest you actually watch a couple of youtube videos on game play to see if it's something that you would enjoy.
He means if you don't like "DEI," you *definitely* won't like BG3.
Now I'm more curious as to which group you thought Orion Invictus meant XD
You don't have to do quick, slash, roll, dodge and hack style combat to simulate your brain.
Yeah, OP, you won't. The game is 120 hours long. Sometimes you have to notice details and ♥♥♥♥. Sometimes you have to wait like almost a full minute for the computer to take its turn. The answer is no.
On the other hand your profile picture is from Cyberpunk 2077, a game that has easily 40 hours of staring at very linear conversations, so maybe you're more patient than you think.
Also another RPG game which you may like which is a perfect blend of RPG and hack/slash is Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War.
you sound the type to rage quit early? prepare to wipe once or twice in the goblin camp fight.
