The mold ejection lever does still activate.
The button to raise the platform does not work because Grym is on the platform.
The wheel to move the lava does not work because I think the game thinks the platform is raised.
Sounds like you bugged the event. You could just wait until you get to Act 3 and get some better gear than it offers if you don't get it corrected.
Get the attention of Grym to near where you are and rain down arrows on him. Slowly, painfully, you'll eventually terminate it... Then use feather fall to go down to pick up loot. It can be destroyed with arrows, he won't be able to hit you but it'll take a lot of patience and NEXT TURN clicking... I know I did that, what I can't remember was how or why did the lava remained active so he was still vulnerable... It was a weird battle. Honour mode, went the wrong way, party was being mauled... I retreated with one using a spell, to the top of the platform and noticed I could still damage it from high above so I just kept going... Maybe it was a bug, dunno... Still, if you feather fall you can get back into the battle, down there.
Yeah, I know, but when my party was almost but killed, in Honour, I withdrew with one to the top of the platform, with a spell, and, for some reason, the lava never went away so I just kept hitting it from above and I destroyed it eventually.
