Cazador Szarr fight
Hi,

Has anyone managed to defeat Cazador Szarr after he has asended? If so how did you do it?

Thanks,

Aaron

Daylight pretty much destroys him completely. Never fought against him when he ascended to be honest, he usually dies in his first turn or in his second one if he's really lucky with dice rolls.

There's just no reason to let him ascend, so barely anyone does it. You make your own life difficult and Astarion gets sacrificed.
I did it out of curiousity once in an honour run (because I am but an ape) and yea, he ended that run.

That's the problem though, isn't it? If he does ascend, Daylight no longer damages him. (I assume. Never tried it out myself.)

Ah damn, you're right. Well if everything fails then you can still turtle in globe of invulnerability :D

I mean, yeah it is trivial to prevent it from happening, but it could still be a fun challenge (assuming it is possible)! I'll have to try this when I get to him on my current run.

its designed to be very, very hard to win. His ascended form regenerates almost to 100% every turn and he is no longer limited by your light spell. Someone probably did it: 3 decent characters hitting him can do him in with 1 round of damage and its over. Last time I fought him (no ascend) gale's art of war spell took off like half his health, and my monk slapped him right back into his coffin after that, he didn't even have time to monologue at us, he was all like "bwahaha you cannot defeat the great idiot ... wtf?!"

all I know to say is give it a try? Its easy enough to LET him ascend and then practice on it.

Oh, right...if he is still susceptible to Stun after ascending a Monk could probably solo him, eh.

I am just trying out to see what is different about the outcame.

nothing is going to be different if you win. It just gives him like 250 hit points per turn regen and i think he can do his mist/bat crap every round so hard to target (if you even can) and fast and immune to sun spell and so on. You'll have to catch him in a form you can hit and then chop him from full (maybe + temporary!) down to zero in one round (which is doable, but you factor in misses and such, tricky).

So far I have manage to get his asended form down to 90hp before being killed.

I managed to kill his asended form but the rewards were crap. The same if you save astarion plus an extra ring that acts like a key.
