Paladin and Hexblade make sense. The Hexblade itself is meant to sentient and all the Paladin subclasses have big differences with the oaths.
Oh, the hexblade is sentient? This is pretty interesting, I'd love to have a weapon like Modwyr (for Deadfire) in BG3. I'm sure it will not be as talkative considering the subclass is coming in a free DLC, but still cool.
To be clear, I'm not sure if they're going to implement that or not. Or how if they do. Also it's not DLC, just a patch.
There are subclass dialogues, but for the most part it's just regular class.
None of that's going to be coming from Larian. You might have some luck with mods.
Considering that the drunken monk has a new mocap for hits...
And the Oathbreaker Paladin has been confirmed having new dialogue for paladins of the crown…
I would tentatively say yes to both new dialogue and new interactions.
I mean… there must be a reason why P8 took so much time to make, yes?
Well, on the one hand, you can play an Artificer right now ... dilemma is you have to pick from two choices at mod.io at this point ... one is RAW, the other is homebrew, but I dunno, compared to the Nexus version I've found both ... lacking ... homebrew is OK but plagued with weird typos and odd design aspects, and other stuff, RAW is ... well, let's just say it's still a WIP. And at least for me, the Nexus version is not desirable anymore as unlike the other two it requires 5E spells instead of Mystra's .... sigh.
Neither mod.io version of the Artificer includes the ability to make or use guns (or adds them to merchants) unlike the Nexus one ... fortunately, Skirbie's mods take care of THAT problem.
As for races, plenty of options there. Pretty much all the 5E additional ones are out there at this point.
Well, you might want to check out the 5E Spelljammer features mod. It doesn't add new playable races, but you encounter plasmoids, and you get your own space galleon, which includes a blaster cannon it can fire at ground targets from space ....
There is a standalone 5e Plasmoid race mod, and they are a part of a Monster Races mod, both by Eclip5e_ on mod.io, so they should also be in the in-game mod manager. They aren't my mods and I don't use those two, so I don't know how well they work, or if the standalone requires ImpUI like the grouped mod does.
