Chances Patch 8 Will Break Mods?
Silly question perhaps, as everyone's mileage is going to vary depending which mods and how many are deployed in a game, but what's are your thoughts on Patch 8 breaking mods?

Personally, I don't think I use anything too heavy - just increasing the carry weight and party size, the mod that lets you create custom companions, and a couple of head and hair cosmetic mods.
What do you reckon my chances are?
How did things work out for you after Patch 7? I wasn't playing the game during that,

I would guess that chances are high, depending on the mod. Best bet if using mods is to either remove them or wait a week or two for mod updates.

WARNING: Playing with broken mods may break your game save. This is true for all modded games.
Yea I usually Stay on the prev patch if I can.
I use ab out 1043 mods currently And I just went through a new one breaking everything.

Yeah I've seen a few people recommended that. Is it a case of launching the game from the .exe outside of Steam or keeping Steam in Offline Mode? Thank you.

My answer is yes: 100%
I highly doubt P8 will be compatible by default with all the previous installed mods.
100%

The odds are 100%. Which ones? My crystal ball is broken. We won't know until we know.
And if I have no mods, but start a playthrough, will be my saves compatible with the Patch 8? Because saves from the Early Access weren't compatible with Patch 7 (I've abandoned the game for about a year until November 2024).

Old saves from P7 should be compatible with P8.
Cool, thanks. It'd be a pity to lose saves from Tactician playthrough, which I plan to do.

Mods will more than likely break, no mods your save will more than likely be fine.
I agree. It most likely will break mods...
But some mod makers allready have patch8 test version and are making chances to their mods! So at least some will get updated version rather soon after the release of the patch.
But not all ofcourse!
Let me put it, the chances that no mod will break are about 0,0001%.

And the more mods and the bigger mods you have, the higher the chances that at least one will break. But even if you use a single small mod, the chances arent low that it wont break.

Except in the case when the mod author had access to the Patch beforehand and already fixed it.
