enemy's dashing for no reason in combat
Sometimes I will be in combat and an enemy dashes when they do not need to and almost wastes there turn. Is this a bug or just poor decision making on the ais part at times?

Enemy AI is kind of stupid. They will pick a target to try to attack and try to get to it. This may lead to them dashing past targets they could have attacked in order to get to one that they could not reach without dashing.
Yeah. The combat AI is not this game’s strongest point.

In my case I was at the underwater prison in act 3 and there were three of those creatures that all took there turn at the same time. Two went up to the only party member that was there and attacked but the other was off to the side a bit and dashed but then stopped shortly after dashing and doing nothing after that but still farther away from the character. Would that be considered a glitch? I sure hope not.

just standard larian AI. was the same in DOS2 lmfao. this game studio cant make AI for ♥♥♥♥
Sometimes they just seem to get confused. Or they can't figure out a path to a target, so they decide to dash. And then they still can't figure out a path to the target....

Sometimes they just sit there until they time out and end their turn.

At least they time out. XCOM has always had an issue with enemies sometimes getting into AI loops and then just never doing anything, requiring the player reload the last save.
