Retrieve Omeluum
Hi,

Is it just me or is this quest bugged?

If you rescue every onefrom the Iron Throne then complete the Save the Gondians and blow up the foundry the question completes as normal.

However, if you blow up the foundry before going to the Iron Throne the "Save the Gondians" completes but the "Retrieve Omeluum" does not. Given that Iron Throne sunk what happen to Omeluum's body?

Thanks,

Aaron

You never knew that Omeluum was there, so you never knew it died there.

He means from the game's perspective.

Likely was vaporized in the explosion.

There's also at least one scenario in which Omeluum is never even in the prison to begin with (if Blurg becomes hostile to you, you never meet Omeluum anywhere).

Ah ok! Yet, the quest does not complete and Blug acts like Omeluum is still alive and needs rescueing.

The game is a little borked in that if you blow up the foundry first is bugs out the quests that were supposed to be done beforehand.

"Retrieve Omeluum" is one of those quest you need to do in the right order. The OP miss the clue (given by Zanner Toobin) that the gondians in the Iron Throne need to be saved before blowing up the factory.

The right quest order is 1) Avenge the Drowned, 2) Save the Gondians and 3) Disable the Steel Watch. The first will lead you to the Iron Throne directly, the second will warn you (thru a clue) that you need to go to the Iron Throne first.

I believe he knew that. The thing he was wondering about is why the journal entry didn't close out.

Larian probably just forgot to close the quest. I learned quest order by doing things in the wrong order but w/o consequences. I did the Iron Throne first, Avenge the Drowned second (quest completed immediately) and Save the Gondians third (funny, because I got the clue like if I never went to the Iron Throne where I already saved all Gondians).

Although, the game does not warn you about consequence of doing so such what happens when before you enter Night Songs prison in Act 2.
