Heck, feel free to explore Hispanic culture. I freely give "appropriation" rights to all. We can't learn about each other if we covet our culture from everyone else.

I was also in a TT game where a gay person requested a straight person (who was playing a bisexual character) not play-act gay. Nobody had a problem with it. I personally didn't care either way, but most definitely sided with the gay man on the issue because the goal is for everyone to have fun and if that means you keep something in head-canon instead of on display, that's not a heavy burden to lift.
