Question regarding Companions Approval

Does anyone knows how the companions approval work in this game?

Say that, If I am playing a "Custom Character", but I do not have high Charisma to make a check in dialogue.

Instead, I switch to "Companion A" and successfully make a check, and then the game shows that "Companion B" approved.

Does that mean that "Companion B" approve with my "Custom Character"? Or "Companion A", which I am currently controlling and make a dialogue check?

Eh hard to say how it will be on release, you can switch chars but if I remember right if you do so you dont get approval on your Main char which makes sense

You can't do that.

Switch to a companion and have them do the talking for you. And have you get credit for it.

If you select Astarion and try to talk to someone else, the dialogue scene will still be you talking.

It always defaults to you because you are the king of the castle.

In multiplayer only the one speaking gets approval points. It's basically competitive multiplayer where you steal approval points, dialogues and cutscenes from each other.

If you decide to attack the tieflings where Lae'zel is caged with Gale for example, Shadowheart approval still go towards the Main Character.

So yes... In my playthrough, Wyll might do all the talking, but if I do that, I will not get any approval from him.
