Does Larian still work in Russia?

They had an office in st petersburg and I have seen no official statement saying they closed it down. If they are skirting sanctions via some loophole I'm not buying the game. Thanks for anyone who can inform me

Man, if you don't want the game, just don't buy it...no need to make up reasons for it. It's absolutely fine.
There are over 50000 games on the us steam alone and I don't even own 1% of them...without feeling bad about it in any way.

They only list 6 studios on their website, but had 7 over a year ago; the 7th is St. Petersburg. So, evidence points to no longer doing business in Russia, but I'm going entirely based on what I just said, and nothing more.

The St Petersburg studio doesn't show up on Larians career page, so it's likely shut down.

There are very good reasons for OP's concern. There's nothing wrong with trying to avoid spending money on companies that take criminal or unethical action.

Seems more likely they just missed removing "St Petersburg" somewhere, since it's just not an option in their careers thing, and it doesn't show up on the map either, and isn't listed under "our studios"

And right under that it lists their six studios as Barcelona, Dublin, Gent, Guildford, Kuala Lumpur, and Quebec, followed by job listing for only those six studios. They clearly just forgot to update that one piece of text still mentionint St. Petersburg.

Either Larian liquidated the St. Petersburg studio (aka they probably just moved their Russian employees out of the country like every other educated-labor company with Russian employees), or they're secretly operating a secret 7th studio as a blacksite. Think on which of those two options is more likely.
