If you already know he game and start planning out when to give in and when to resist...well, for me it would take away from the character...

I really liked the idea of a dark urge character at first but it seems it's just a formalized murder hobo. I was hoping for a more manipulative (smart) evil storyline.

Judging by promos, your bloodlust is closely tied to Bhaal, Lord of Murder. So to have urges to maim and destroy - is kinda natural. You can still rp as pragmatic evil,but your pragmatism will constantly be challenged by a Beast inside. Like a... Evil Jekyll with even more evil Hyde.

Dark Urge is a fruit of all the testing they did in early access. A lot of people took evil actions & sided with Minthara to get the dirty scene. Hard to resist ehh? but Tieflings are gone.
In all my 800 hours of game play I never had the urge to do that. Larian should give something more to corrupt me. lol
There will not be any Dark Urge play through unless I find some alternative.
I have little interest in playing as origin characters but I hope it changes when full game releases.
Note : Dark Urge is for subhumans. lol

Now that does sound interesting, hmm. Think I'll try it then, on my second playthrough.

This is actually better. We don't want "tav + " so i dont know who would be upset by this. Still, this doesnt really prove that it isnt tav +, But lets be real, i'm sure every origin is going to be virtually the same thing with only some deviations here and there. Its not like itll be a totally different game.

I'm fine with Dark Urge being a better, bigger, version of Tav since it's fully customizable. Every Origin character should be customizable imo

Of course. Having a plot like this isn't interesting if you can just ignore it. I expected as much.

You can TRY to be good. But you're still the Dark Urge, and you still have to deal with it.

I'm still gonna go dark urge regardless. Even if I'm gonna fail one of the checks at some point and kill an innocent man or two or even a child, I don't expect my first playthrough to be perfect or get the best good ending. I'm still gonna try to the best of my ability though.

Think way I understood it is you can't just roll check your way out of it, since that will get increasingly harder. Think its meant to be like choose your poison scenario, that giving in at times makes it probably easier to resist other times, opposed to letting urge keep growing without venting it.

At least that was how I felt it sounded like, that you'd be forced out of your comfort zone of morality since you can't completely surpress it to your liking. But instead have to try balance it if you don't want to give into every parts of the urges.
