Report a translation problem
Given the last update where nat 1s on skill checks weren't always instant fails but equated to a negative number requiring bonuses to beat (a different homebrew rule than even official One D&D UA), the nat 20 homebrew rule on skill checks might also not be an automatic success anymore.
It might also be some custom "not possible in EA" check due to something not being present in EA. I don't have the tools to look into the code (yet... maybe after finishing the game a few times and I start looking into mods).
