For all the people concerned about trans characters... D&D already officially has one
Fel'rekt Lafeen from Waterdeep: Dragon Heist is canonically trans. They are not breaking the existing canon with it.

I mean, Dnd is magic world. If i want to become female i simply can cast spell, or drink potion which do it. I can even change my race that way. So i don't think anyone would care if someone of someone is of different sex with which he/she was born. As long as they will not mention it themselves, or decide to remind about it every second time.

you don't get how gender works in D&D or real life lol
randy Jul 16, 2023 @ 3:01pm
I am actually trans-racial, how are they going to represent my trans identity in game??
TwoBit Jul 16, 2023 @ 3:01pm
Yah, in Waterdeep there are also two djin who are gay, and in Stryxhaven there is a student who is explicitly said to be trans.

People think that this is Larian trying to retcon or push their agenda. Nah bro, this stuff has been cannon for a while.

"The Chevalier d'Éon claimed to have been assigned female at birth, and demanded recognition by the government as such. D'Éon claimed to have been raised as a boy because Louis d'Éon de Beaumont could only inherit from his in-laws if he had a son."

So, much like the famous John Money abuse case, this is another case of a child being raised as the wrong gender because of something an adult decided and, unsurprisingly, it messed up that child's entire life. If that's what you're calling a trans hero...

The most funny thing is the language play.

Assigned. As if it would be the matter of choice instead of objective criteria and the outcome is observed and independent of human will except few cases which are classified as disorders.

You are unable to communicate like a normal human being and resorting to insults because of a simple factual statement. Nice projection.
There some specific kind, talking with who, will bring no value in any sense. In which case, Ignoring, and enjoying your live, would be wise choose, which i wish to you, Mr Prigozhin:steammocking:

So it's not real DnD. It's a product of WotC injecting woke nonsense into what used to be DnD. That's literally what people are complaining about. There's zero need for anyone in a fantasy realm that *never* had trans people up until it was politically trendy to be trans.

No, you seem confused, it's does in fact count as D&D, stop injecting your politics into it lol

also define "woke" for all of us, comrade

Modern social and political movement to push narratives and distort facts to perpetuate the idea that certain groups of people are inherently worth more, or less, depending on a constantly changing set of criteria. Of course, that's a short definition, and there are broader interpretations. But it's a good starting point.

Now define "women" for me.

That's from Modenkainen's Tome of Foes and yeah, that's definitely a thing.

So, your position on trans people in real life is that we should double-down on gender-affirming medical procedure research to match? That anybody should be free to choose the identity that they want, regardless of the gender assignment of their birth?

hmmm, yeah I thought so, right wing media has filled your brain with metaphorical brain eating worms and you have a deranged idea about this woke stuff.

woman: somebody who you wish would talk to you lol

dude, no matter how much you try to police language, you can't erase trans and gay and Black and Brown people.

Words are labels. It's not like there wasn't gay people before the word "gay" existed

Unfathomably based.

Gender and sex are two different things. You can appear male and be a female. You can choose to be a different gender without changing anything physically. What you seem to be confusing is having a sex change operation and being a feminane/masculan gender.

Since you are quoting so liberally from the Wikipedia article, you might have also read about Beaumont's autopsy report, claiming Beaumont had male genitalia and well developed breast.
