For all the people concerned about trans characters... D&D already officially has one
Fel'rekt Lafeen from Waterdeep: Dragon Heist is canonically trans. They are not breaking the existing canon with it.

Also plasmoids from Spelljammer. However they're both natural shape shifters.

I've seen several people argue that there are no just trans people in the source material so... there's one.

And heroic trans people are also not historically new.

There was an anime based off this person and it's kinda amazing: "Le Chevalier D'Eon"

To say nothing about the shojo franchise Rose of Versailles, which was broadcast in France in the 1980s.

I mean you could just choose to not read the Thread, unless:

"I am so sick of people talking about this, Oh why has my hand double clicked on the thread, why are my eyes forcing me to read it!!!! ahahahaaaa"
The whole "I'm reporting you..." if you must do it and move on - don't announce it like a toddler telling mum.

This thread at least is not the usual, it is actual an interesting bit of DnD Lore.

Appropriating history and using for your agenda is nothing new. That person did live centuries ago, I am sure you have psychological evaluation to support your statement. Oh, you don't.

Political talk that isn't in game politics shouldn't be in these forums. We shouldn't have to not read them, they should not exist here.

I mean, Dnd is magic world. If i want to become female i simply can cast spell, or drink potion which do it. I can even change my race that way. So i don't think anyone would care if someone of someone is of different sex with which he/she was born. As long as they will not mention it themselves, or decide to remind about it every second time.

There's also the Blessed of Corellon, which can switch between male and female I believe?

"The Chevalier d'Éon claimed to have been assigned female at birth, and demanded recognition by the government as such. D'Éon claimed to have been raised as a boy because Louis d'Éon de Beaumont could only inherit from his in-laws if he had a son."

So, much like the famous John Money abuse case, this is another case of a child being raised as the wrong gender because of something an adult decided and, unsurprisingly, it messed up that child's entire life. If that's what you're calling a trans hero...
